Dr. Ashwin Mohan is a renowned Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon with more than seven years work experience in reputed eye hospitals. He did his MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion, Mumbai followed by an Observership in Emergency Medicine & General Surgery from Sunny Downstate, Brooklyn. He completed DNB in Ophthalmology from Medical Research Foundation, Chennai.
He further did a Fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery from Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore and Ph.D. in Retinal Oximetry from Maastricht University, Netherlands. Starting his career with Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore as a Junior Consultant in Vitreo-Retina, he had moved on to other eye hospitals of repute in India and served as a Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon. Besides being the Research Lead at an Eye Hospital & Research Institute in South India, he also served as honorary researcher and faculty at Maastricht University, Netherlands.
His paper presentations on Retinal Oximetry at ARVO-2016 Seattle & ARVO 2015 Dever and the one at NANOS2015 at San Diego were received much acclamation from all. Dr. Ashwin Mohan was a conferred with notable Gold Medal in neuro-ophthalmology by Sankara Nethralaya, IJO Honour Award for Peer Review and AIOS International Hero Award for Ph.D in Retinal Oximetry. He has many publications on different areas of ophthalmology to his credit.
